Book Your Voiceover Contract Review Session
Not all contracts are created equal.
Don’t risk signing something you don’t fully understand. The result can impact your finances, your career, and even your rights to your own voice.
Contracts are a necessary aspect of voice acting. For every job, there is a contract, and possibly also a non-disclosure agreement (NDA). Most are complex, filled with a ton of jargon and legalese that can be confusing at best. At worst, they can be so overwhelming that your eyes glaze over when you try to read through the pages upon pages of complicated paragraphs…and so you assume all is good and you sign it and submit it.
But did you notice that the second paragraph on page 3 included a sentence that not only authorized the client to own your voice recordings forever, but also to do whatever they want with them in any jurisdiction, including clone it, sell it and alter it?
Many contracts are legit, and are with clients who are not trying to scam you. But there are also SO MANY SCAMS out there. Do you know how to spot the differences? Do you know how to protect yourself from a scam? And even for the legit ones, can you find the tiny accidental errors that could mean, say, the difference between you getting public credit for the spot and never getting credit?
Let me help you! I have over 25 years of experience reading, writing and auditing contracts across a variety of industries, genres and complexities. I love supporting fellow creatives and educating them on how to interpret and craft contracts so that there are no grey areas, and I especially love shutting down scam artists.
Protect yourself, your career and your future - don’t risk signing something you don’t fully understand and agree with.
During your 60-minute consultation, we will review your contract, and I will translate the legalese into layman’s terms, breaking down even the most complex, overwhelmingly boring parts into easy-to-understand explanations. My goal is to help you make informed decisions without putting yourself, your voice or your future at risk.
